Can you believe the mainstream media is starting to take notice of the need for employers to help individuals take better care of their health, and be more effective in their work and personal lives? Well, believe it, because earlier this week, Ceridian announced that it had acquired Ann-Arbor based Leade Health, Inc. (http://www.ceridian.com/myceridian/article/1,2481,13463-63259,00.html). They are one of the top health coaching firms in the country and will bring a great addition to our health and productivity offerings.
Two Twin Cities news papers, including the Pioneer Press, (http://www.twincities.com/mld/twincities/16111146.htm) as well as a local FOX TV station ran stories on the announcement. In this day and age of labor shortages and raising healthcare costs, it is becoming increasing apparent that there is no longer a true separation between home and work, and health and productivity. And this idea has finally caught the eye of mainstream media.
Hooray! This is a story that needs to be told and a story that can drive more people to take action with managing their health.
