SPRINGFIELD, Mass., June 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company (MassMutual) announced today that Bob Casale, deputy chief information officer, has been promoted to senior vice president.
Mr. Casale, 41, who reports to MassMutual Chief Information Officer Michael Foley, is a 13-year veteran of MassMutual's Information Technology (IT) division. He had been a corporate vice president since May 2007. As deputy chief information officer, he is responsible for leadership of the company's Enterprise Technology Group, which is accountable for enterprise-wide data, information security management and overall governance of the information technology development process. He has served in his current role for five months.
Prior to that, Mr. Casale held a broad range of leadership positions in MassMutual's IT division, including responsibility for establishing the enterprise-wide reference architecture used today as MassMutual's roadmap for all technological business decisions.

Mr. Casale joined MassMutual in 1995 from Connecticut Online Computer Center Trust, where he served as a senior programming analyst. He resides in Bristol, Conn.
