Companies have been developing creative ideas to offer a new form of benefits to their employees.  Instead of offering simply more money or better health care insurance, some Internet companies have developed an innovative solution: a marriage of new and improved benefits and work-life balance solutions deployed over the Internet.  Recently, HR.com has taken a look at a few companies who have developed this solution including Abilizer.com, Lawexpress.com, Lifecare.com, and Kudoz.com.

One of Worklink´s mottos is "Smarter is the new faster".  What does this mean?  It means that smart companies will take advantage of today´s technology to provide the tools to help their employees accomplish more.   Worklinks provides a complete solution to helping your employees in all the aspects of their Working, Living, and Learning lives.

Let´s take a look at Worklinks and you can judge for yourself...

How do you use Worklinks?

Essentially, employers would subscribe to having access to an online community filled with product vendors, service providers and company-wide communication tools.  These products and services are usually offered at a lowered cost to employees of subscribing companies.  Employees would then go online to a company-customized site to purchase desired products and services.  This would save both employers and employees valuable time by providing these products online and helping employees with their time management.

How can Worklinks benefit your company?

Worklinks has four main goals to benefit your company:

1)     Increasing your workforce´s productivity and retention.

2)     Enabling continuous learning and development

3)     Foster corporate culture, community, and communication

4)     Give employees more time for their personal needs

For example, training and development is one of the most desired attraction and retention tools for IT workers.  This not only benefits the company, as cutting edge skills keep them competitive, but also retains employees.  They can see the company´s investment in them, as well as, continuous learning provides them with future portable skills.   Worklinks has developed the Learning Channel to help companies consolidate the "best content and tools" that can be customized specifically to your company´s needs.

Worklinks can literally connect your employees using the Internet as the network. This past July 2000, Best Buy and Stride Right Corporation decided to go with to provide their 54,000 employees with Worklinks´ cutting-edge workplace portal.  Although their workforce may be geographically divided, has provided them with the tools keep the Best Buy culture and workforce connected.

Pricing

Pricing differs across the three different channels as different levels of customization and integration are involved and includes installation and services fees for each channel.  The per-year cost highly depends on the size of your company´s workforce.

The Living Channel starts at $15,000 per year.

The Learning Channel starts at $25,000.  The main reason for this cost difference is that the application structure is highly complex and can involve a high integration of client-specific content such as industry certifications and required training programs.

The Working Channel ranges between the two aforementioned figures.

Worklinks also provides additional value added services that are available on request.

Scalability

It is not necessary for companies to subscribe to all of Worklinks´ channels.   Worklinks will work with your company to determine which modules will best suit your company´s corporate culture and employees and then help you customize them to your needs.

System Requirements

To access the application, users simply need an Internet connection for at home, at work, on the road access.

Implementation Timeframes

Depending on the size of your company and level of integration of the channels, implementation timeframes are, on average, from about 10 days for a smaller implementation to between 2-4 weeks for a larger implementation.
