Bellevue University Corporate Learning Expert to Speak at National Defense Conference February 17-19

Noted authority on the rapidly growing industry of workforce learning and development Michael E. Echols, Ph.D., will speak at the 5th Annual Human Capital Management for Defense Conference February 16-19 in Arlington, Virginia. Echols is the Executive Vice President of Strategic Initiatives and the Human Capital LabSM for Bellevue University.
February 4, 2010 – Omaha, Neb. – Noted authority on the rapidly growing industry of workforce learning and development Michael E. Echols, Ph.D., will speak at the 5th Annual Human Capital Management for Defense Conference February 16-19 in Arlington, Virginia. Echols is the Executive Vice President of Strategic Initiatives and the Human Capital LabSM for Bellevue University.
 
Echols joins Retired USAF Brigadier General Frank J. Anderson, Jr., President of the Defense Acquisition University, to present “Acquisition Workforce Development.” They will address the shortage of trained acquisition personnel, solutions for recruiting challenges, and assessment tools to better understand the skills and capability gaps of the acquisition workforce.
 
In Echols’ roles at Bellevue University, he works with corporate executives and HR professionals to align learning and development initiatives with organizational goals. He helps create learning programs that are budget-neutral in implementation and accessible and convenient for learners. Echols then works with Bellevue University’s Human Capital Lab, a research organization dedicated to finding measurable and manageable links between learning interventions and business outcomes. He is the author of three books on the topic, ROI on Human Capital Investment, Competitive Advantage from Human Capital Investment, and Creating Value with Human Capital Investment.
