Baudville named West Michigan 101 Best and Brightest

Baudville named West Michigan 101 Best and Brightest Company to Work For by Michigan Business and Professional Association 2010 award marks Baudville’s fourth appearance on the list
Grand Rapids, MI – March 26, 2010 – Baudville’s business as a leading provider in day-to-day recognition and award solutions is dedicated to employee recognition in the workplace. This time, the company is receiving some recognition of their own. Baudville was recently honored with its 4th consecutive award as one of West Michigan’s 101 Best and Brightest Company to Work For.

Only companies with the highest quality human resources initiatives receive the award from the Michigan Business and Professional Association (MBPA), and the honor is highly sought after by competing companies throughout the region.

“The selection, recognition and awarding of this year’s 101 companies allows our organization to showcase their best practices,” said Jennifer Kluge, MBPA chief operating officer and executive vice president. “The honorees have clearly demonstrated why each of them would be an ideal place for employees to work. Companies that capitalize on their greatest resource—their employees—know how to attract and retain top talent.”

Each company’s entry is evaluated by an independent research firm based on key measures in 10 categories: Communication, Community Initiatives, Compensation and Benefits, Diversity and Multiculturalism, Employee Education and Development, Employee Engagement and Commitment, Recognition and Retention, Recruitment and Selection, Small Business and Work-Life Balance.

The winning 101 companies also vie for 10 elite awards, one granted for each category, and an overall winner, who has excelled in all categories, will be honored with a “Best of the Best” award.

“Receiving this honor is a source of great pride for Baudville and our employees,” said Brad Darooge, President and CEO. “We enjoy celebrating this accomplishment as a team and continue to make strides to create a great work environment for our employees.”

Winners will be honored at the MBPA annual human resources symposium and awards program on Thursday, May 6 at the Pinnacle Center in the Grand Rapids area. The event includes networking, an exhibit gallery, educational sessions and awards luncheon. Tickets for the symposium and awards lunch are $110 for MBPA members; $130 for non-members. Sponsorships are also available.
