Branstad bring more than 10 years of experience working in private practice and litigation management. Her responsibilities include facilitating the recruitment, retention and support of ARAG’s Attorney Network.

Prior to joining ARAG, Branstad worked in private practice. Her background includes civil litigation and family law. Branstad also worked at EMC Insurance Companies as a subrogation attorney where she conducted direct litigation and litigation management of outside counsel. She tried more than fifty jury trials as an assistant Jasper County attorney in Newton, Iowa, and was appointed the area drug prosecutor for a task force of multiple law enforcement agencies.
Branstad received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa and her Juris Doctor from Drake University. Her educational background includes serving as a student attorney for the Drake Legal Clinic, a professor’s research assistant and a judicial intern. Branstad also clerked for a civil litigation attorney and worked for the Iowa Academy of Trial Lawyers. She is licensed to practice in Iowa and the District of Columbia.
Branstad is a member of the Iowa Trial Lawyers Association, The Association of Trial Lawyers of America, The Iowa Bar Association and The American Bar Association. She also is a Master of the Bench in the Blackstone Inn of Court.
