BOCA RATON, Fla., Sept. 5, 2006 --- Amplitude Research, Inc. recently announced the completion of beta testing and the official launch of Version 4.2 of Normative Express - an ASP online tool for businesses to measure employee job satisfaction using normative scoring indexes.
Developed in cooperation with Bowling Green State University, the founder and ongoing monitor of the well-known Job Descriptive Index (JDI) and Job in General Scale (JIG), Normative Express is an Internet-based system that enables organizations of 11 to 30,000 employees to assess employee job satisfaction in relation to national norms.
Along with Bowling Green's Job in General Scale (JIG) index, the JDI is considered the most respected and widely used measure of job satisfaction in the world. Developed under the leadership of Patricia Cain Smith, over 1,000 organizations have used the index as an operational element. Having first partnered with Bowling Green four years ago, Amplitude officials saw the advantages of putting the JDI in an online format.
The system consists of 90 pre-determined questions touching upon key areas that influence overall work satisfaction. Version 4.2 is a full ASP model and includes a self-administered feature for clients to add their own custom questions as well as address different sub-groups within their organization. Custom questions can be selected from Amplitude´s extensive question library grouped in over 20 key facets or the client´s own questions.
"Our company´s dynamic technology platform allowed us to build a fully automated online administration system so companies can immediately view employees´ satisfaction scores as well as results from custom questions including custom sub-groups and verbatim comments," said Stephen Birnkrant, founder and CEO of Amplitude. "Scores are also guaranteed to be as accurate as possible."
William Balzer, Associate Vice President and Dean at Bowling Green, praises the efforts of Birnkrant and Amplitude to make employee surveying more state-of-the-art. "Technology has enriched our lives in many ways and this is no exception," said Balzer, who co-leads the JDI/JIG Research Group. "The Normative Express is a real breakthrough in the surveying industry and helps us better address business concerns."
Greg Ruhl, General Manager of Security Identification Systems Corporation (SISCO) of West Palm Beach, Fla., a security software and hardware integration companyand beta tester of Version 4.2, noted that Normative Express "was an enormous success from management´s perspective" concluding that the "services offer invaluable tools to let upper management within any organization get a feel for the true pulse and heartbeat of its life blood, which of course is its employees."
Similarly, HR executive Sarah Greene of EnerNOC, Inc., an energy management solutions provider headquartered in Boston, Mass., explained that the "nationwide benchmarking lent a great deal to the context and validity of responses" and recommended Normative Express for "price, user-ability, service and reporting."
Glen Grambart, controller at nQueue, Inc., a Tempe, Az.-based provider of software based Information accountabilitysolutions and beta tester of Version 4.2, noted that "we were very impressed with the survey process" and "were impressed with the high number of employees that completed the survey, which indicates that it was employee user friendly."
Pricing for Version 4.2 of Normative Express starts at $1,100 and includes full access to the online control panel including questionnaire design and automated reports for the JDI, JIG, and custom questions.
