AIRS Named # 1 Best Place to Work in Vermont Among Small/Medium-Sized Businesses

AIRS--a world leader in recruitment training, technology, & outsourcing – was named the #1 Best Place to Work in Vermont in the small/medium business category and will be featured in the December issue of Vermont Business Magazine along with 13 other honored recipients.
Wilder, VT -- December 1, 2006. AIRS--a world leader in recruitment training, technology, & outsourcing – was named the #1 Best Place to Work in Vermont in the small/medium business category and will be featured in the December issue of Vermont Business Magazine along with 13 other honored recipients.  The rankings were released at the first annual gala held at the Double Tree Convention Center in Burlington, VT on Thursday, November 30, 2006. Neighboring business King Arthur Flour was named the #1 Best Place to Work in Vermont in the large company category.

“We were overjoyed to have made the list as a finalist... but when we heard our name called in the top it was truly something special,” said Chris Forman, CEO of AIRS.

The Best Places to Work in Vermont program was created in 2006 by Vermont Business Magazine, the Vermont State Chamber, the Vermont Department of Labor, the Society for Human Resource Management-Vermont State Council, the Vermont Department of Economic Development, Best Companies Group and sponsored by HMC Advertising.

To be considered for participation, companies had to fulfill the following eligibility requirements:

- Be a for-profit or not-for-profit business;

- Be a publicly or privately held business;

- Have a facility in Vermont;

- Have at least 15 employees in Vermont.

The two-part process consisted of evaluating each nominated company's workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics and the second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. The employee survey accounted for 70% of the combined scores to determine the top companies and the final ranking.
