Adicio Launches New Hampshire Job Network

Adicio announced today the launch of its New Hampshire Network, an alliance of job postings from the web sites of local and community media companies across the state of New Hampshire.

Carlsbad, CA (June 23, 2008) – Adicio announced today the launch of its New Hampshire Network, an alliance of job postings from the web sites of local and community media companies across the state of New Hampshire. All jobs in Adicio’s New Hampshire Network are posted first on a local participating site, which then has the ability to add those listings into the state-wide job database.

“New Hampshire has consistently had a very low rate of unemployment, so it’s a challenge for companies there to find viable candidates,” says Tony Lee, Adicio’s Chief Alliance Officer. “Our new network makes it easier for them to identify top candidates in key labor markets across New Hampshire's growing population.”

When employers have difficult positions to fill, they typically are willing to look outside of their local market for qualified applicants, according to industry research. However, their focus tends to be on candidates who live either within commuting distance, or who are willing to relocate within a day’s drive of family and friends, which makes a regional network very appealing.

“We know some job seekers and employers prefer to focus their searches locally and want to work and hire close to home,” said Ernesto Burden, Vice President of Digital Media for The Telegraph.  “That’s one of the great values of our local job search tools – as opposed to the more generic national job boards. But we also know that New Hampshire is a small state and some people are willing to look beyond their hometown, and sometimes their home county, for the right job.  Even if a job seeker isn’t looking for a long commute, moving an hour or two away within New Hampshire for the perfect position can still allow a job seeker to maintain ties to the state and stay close to family and friends. Given this, the New Hampshire Network is a perfect addition to our existing job listings.”

Daily newspapers participating in Adicio’s New Hampshire Network include the Nashua Telegraph, Portsmouth Herald, Concord Monitor, Foster’s Daily Democrat, the Citizen of Laconia, Rochester Times, Milford Cabinet, Hampton Union and Monadnock Ledger-Transcript.

In addition to its New Hampshire Network, Adicio also offers a Southeast Regional Network, which includes 25 participating Adicio client sites in 11 states, and a Southwest Regional Network, which includes 13 sites in six states, as well as its National Network, which includes job listings from more than 250 local and national newspaper, magazine, trade association and broadcast media job sites. By posting employment opportunities into the National Network, employers can reach millions of high-quality job seekers from across the U.S. and Canada via a link from the job-search results on every participating site.
