PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL—Labor Finders International, Inc.theoldest and largest privately held industrial labor staffing company in the United States is hosting a free golf tournament for a local children’s charity in which all monies raised will provide Christmas gifts for underprivileged children in Okeechobee, Florida. The free, invitational-only golf event will take place over Labor Day weekend on Saturday, September 4 at the Okeechobee Golf and Country Club in Okeechobee, Florida.
For this unique event, Labor Finders is working with Butch’s Redneck Yacht Club in which all participants who purchase breakfast, lunch, beverages and snacks along with all raffle prizes will provide My Aunt’s House, Inc., Christmas gifts for underprivileged children in the Okeechobee, Florida area. Dan Shube, the Director of Marketing for Labor Finders, the brainchild of this event said, “I truly believe that a free golf tournament benefiting a charity has never been done before.
“I firmly believe that the true meaning of Labor Day has been forgotten. I wanted to recognize the efforts of the workers and those who employ them; more so, due to the tough economic times, which we recently have experienced, stated Shube.
Shube, besides his day job as Labor Finders marketing director, is also the “golf guy” on WOKC in Okeechobee; so he and radio personality Billy Dean (both avid golfers) decided to put on a golf charity event that would tie-in the Labor Day holiday and the children’s charity My Aunt’s House. Every year the members of Butch’s Redneck Yacht Club (Dean is the president and co-founder,) raise around $3,000 to help buy Christmas gifts for the kids.

MY AUNT’S HOUSE, INC.:
My Aunt's House’s mission is “To support disadvantaged children and their families,” by providing clothing, shoes, and special items such as back-to-school supplies and gifts from Santa to children in low income families, including children in foster care. Currently we are helping over 700 children and their families with clothes, bedding and other items. Clothes received are mostly through donations. When funds are available, we purchase some items, especially socks, underwear and jeans. “The Closet” looks like a thrift store, but there is one big difference, everything is FREE to the families. We use a Referral System…Families are referred by local agencies such as: DCF/UFF, Health Start, Martha’s House, Head Start, the Okeechobee School System and many other organizations.
