(PRWEB) January 4, 2010 -- Xel Training & Development, one of the country’s leading specialist Sales Training, Customer Service and Leadership Skills training providers, based in Lancashire, has seen an increase of over 200% in the number of enquires from companies looking to undertake sales training in the new year, and an increase of over 200% in the number of sales training and customer service training proposals submitted.
The value of enquires and proposals submitted is also significantly higher than the previous period with the average proposal value double that of the comparable period last year. Combining the increase in proposals with the increase in proposal value, Andrew Jones, Managing Director at Xel Training and Development believes the order values for the New Year will have increased by 418% compared to January and February 2009.
The figures have been compared between the number of enquiries and average proposal values between October and November 2008 and October and November 2009. During this period, Xel Training and Development has not significantly altered its sales and marketing activity to influence these figures and Andrew believes this increase is wholly down to increased business confidence.Training is often one of the first budgets to be cut as a recession starts to take hold but can also be an early indicator of returning confidence. The majority of training courses provided by Xel Training and Development are linked to sales, customer services and personnel development all of which are seen as crucial in developing, winning and retaining business. As companies see a potential for growth they are more likely to invest in sales and business development training to give them a cutting edge and an advantage in maximising business growth from a general upturn. Companies who do not invest in this form of training often lag behind other organisations and are slower to profit from increased business confidence and sales growth.
Xel Training will also shortly be announcing its latest offering of Preview Mornings which are free to managers and directors and provides them with a complete understanding of the various training options available, how to obtain ‘funding’ towards any training undertaken and the results they would expect to see from such training. There is no obligation, but places are limited and are provided on a first come first served basis. Bookings can be made by visiting the Xel Training website at www.xeltraining.com.
Andrew Jones, Managing Director of Xel Training & Development said “there is no denying the recession has been hard for many companies and the sudden increase in activity has taken us by surprise. We fully expected companies to wait and see what happens in the New Year but it looks like they have decided to be proactive and steal a march on their competitors as early in the year as they can.”
