Job profiles are one of those cornerstones in the management of Human resources. It is acknowledged that terminology in this area varies considerably from one organization to the next. For the purposes of this survey, the term job profile refers to the definition of "what the organization is looking for" in selecting for a given position. It simply makes sense that if you want to select the right person for the job, you need to know what you are looking for. But what about 'job profiles' and 'job profiling'? What are current organizational practices with respect to 'job profiling'?
