Organizations are using more and more technology to automate their recruiting processes. Online assessments, candidate relationship management, social sourcing and video interviewing are all being deployed to reduce the time and cost associated with recruiting. While these solutions may improve the process of recruiting, it’s important for HR professionals to ensure that new technology does not inadvertently introduce new types of bias that have a negative effect on recruiting quality and overall business performance. Bias in recruiting is not new. HR professionals have long worked to identify and remove biases from the recruiting process. HR professionals are well versed in racial and gender bias and the negative consequences resulting from both. But in many cases HR professionals are unaware of other kinds of bias and need the basic tools and techniques required to find and correct those biases. This webinar will describe several types of bias and teach a few basic skills needed to analyze recruiting data to identify and reduce these biases. Attendees do not need advanced math degrees or good grades in Statistics to attend.
