Wellness Analytics have evolved dramatically in the past few years with the growth of Big Data in health care and the capability of new wellness tools to create and execute on strategy. While analytics have traditionally been very expensive and used mainly for Benefit Plan Design, they are now more cost-effective and being applied to Wellness Plan Design, the next frontier of human resources productivity gains and cost savings. Modern analytics can help you generate return-on-investment through a better understanding of the health status of your entire population, alignment with wellness tools, and effective implementation and evaluation of wellness programs.

This webinar will explain the value of wellness analytics, how the field is evolving, and how they can be applied to help you achieve your population health improvement goals.

On January 1, 2014, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act will impose a $2,000 per employee penalty on employers with 50 or more workers who do not offer health insurance to their full-time staff. This webinar shows HR professionals what to do right now to comply with this mandate.

Participants that join this webinar can expect to have a more complete understanding of how the Internal Revenue Service defines full time employees. We’ll also discuss leveraging the safe harbor method for determining the full time status of an existing employee. Using that same method, we’ll outline how to define the status of a new employee. Objectives also include determining the status of variable hour and seasonal workers, to ensure compliance as well as a thorough understanding of standard measurement and stability periods, as a means to classifying employees.

Dependent Eligibility Verification Audits are an increasingly integral part of health care cost containment, ERISA compliance, and PPACA "Pay or Play" analysis. On average, 4-8% of Dependents enrolled in company benefits are NOT eligible. This costs employers 10's of thousands, 100's of thousands - even millions of dollars annually. Time and Money are the most common objections to conducting an audit, along with fear of adverse employee reaction. This webinar explores Best Practices, mistakes to avoid, and the substantial ROI achieved from a comprehensive dependent audit. Participants will learn what fraud in a benefits plan looks like, how prevalent fraud really is, and what type of savings they can generate for their company with an audit.

Do you feel safe flying? Many people think airlines are not as safe as hospitals. But healthcare providers in the U.S. have caused 1,000,000 deaths since 9/11 with medical errors. International efforts are being made to eliminate errors that reach the patient and decrease the level of harm to the patient when errors do reach them. Discover how to find out which hospitals in your community are mitigating the errors that reach the patient. Determine which metrics are appropriate for measuring your healthcare providers’ commitment to safety. Consider cultural changes which would empower your employees to alter how they choose providers and decrease your Worker’s Compensation claims.

Nearly twenty years after passage of the Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993, what steps are employers taking to manage employee absence and help stay compliant with federal and state leave laws? To answer that question, the ADP Research Institute surveyed 503 HR and Benefits decision makers to better understand their business priorities and practices regarding FMLA administration and Total Absence Management (TAM).

Survey results suggest that employer views on Total Absence Management are mixed. Lost productivity due to unplanned absence is a primary business concern for employers; however, few employers reported that they had undertaken studies to measure the impact of absenteeism on productivity or develop strategies to mitigate the side effects of unplanned absence.

Join us for this event which will address data gathered by the ADP Research Institute focused on all aspects of TAM including:

  • The effect of employee absenteeism;
  • Business impacts associated with absenteeism;
  • Processes and tools used by employers to administer Leave Administration;
  • and
  • Tactics to measure and mitigate the impacts of employee absence
