Strategic HR is not about criticizing the HR function, nor is it about lofty HR ideals. Instead, it is a practical and achievable opportunity for HR to play a significant role in driving business profits. This session will present specific actions that HR functions and HR professionals can take to develop and sustain a strategic approach to their work. These actions for HR functions and HR professionals were revealed through survey, case study, and interview-based research conducted by nonprofit APQC. Elissa Tucker, APQC’s human capital management research program manager, will present best practices learned from researching strategic HR functions at IBM Global Business Services and Nissan North America. She will also share strategic HR insights gleaned from interviews conducted with HR bloggers China Gorman, Sharlyn Lauby, and William Tincup.

Every action an employee takes has the opportunity to either reinforce or diminish your brand. When HR and marketing join together, employees can become brand ambassadors and ultimately help create brand distinction in the marketplace.

An organization’s employees are its best brand ambassadors. They have the power to move the organization forward and make the brand live and breathe. There are no two ways about it, engaged employees build strong brands! The benefits of a strong brand are tremendous and all the best leaders realize that strong brands are not built by the marketing department alone they need HR in order to be successful.

In this session, we will hear from Patricia Nazemetz and Will Ruch, co-authors of “HR and Marketing Power Partners,” as well as executives at top global companies who have implemented a partnership between HR and marketing and discovered the impact it has on customer loyalty, business growth, talent acquisition and retention.

Most organizations understand the value of driving employee engagement and measuring it on a regular basis. The problem arises when leaders fail to take action on the engagement results, or, when they do take action, it turns into an unwieldy action planning process that is not in synch with the business. When used in the correct way, employee engagement data can be a powerful business tool that drives the strategic priorities and values of the organization. In this webinar, we will discuss a paradigm shift in which engagement data is linked to strategic priorities and ROI metrics to provide leaders with critical business insight. Case study examples will be shared and participants will be given practical suggestions for effectively leveraging engagement data to accomplish strategic change within their own organizations.

To help prepare you for this webinar- we encourage you to learn more about our Employee Engagement Survey: http://newmeasures.com/surveys/individual/employee-engagement-survey.html

Gathering feedback and using it appropriately is essential to assessing the current state of your organization, ensuring buy-in for change, and ultimately making the improvements that will drive a breakthrough.

In the Human Resources sphere when discussing feedback we usually think of how we conduct the ‘annual employee survey’ when we gather data in an attempt to measure engagement levels across the entire organization.

Managing this process is crucial and while many organizations are collecting the data they are not applying what they learn in ways that contribute to meaningful and substantive change.

Join us as we explore the key things you should do in order to achieve breakthroughs in performance and innovation and how you can use the insights you gain to seize the opportunities for improvement.

Social tools allow you to make a big organization feel smaller, more intimate. What leading organizations have witnessed is that by using these tools to make connections, have conversations and build engaged communities, individuals feel a part of something and are willing to give a bit more.

In this presentation, TemboSocial Vice President of Client Strategy David Bator will outline strategies for engaging employees online in 2014. David will offer a peek behind the firewall at how leading organizations are successfully blending strategy and social tools to engage their employees in meaningful conversations with a particular emphasis on multi-generational talent strategies, a holistic approach to social recognition, embracing two-way dialogue in online communications with employees and how celebrating an employee’s personal legacy propels enterprise success.

Every leader uses data to help them make informed decisions, but not every leader is able to combine their organization's data to tell a cogent story with actionable next steps. That is changing as organizations of all sizes can leverage the power of integrated and predictive analytics. Modern Survey co-founder and CEO Patrick Riley will share insights into the power of predictive analytics for HR, he'll define what "big data" is, and what he'll share what all this means for HR now and in the years ahead. If you are interested in improving the employee experience at your organization by leveraging the data you are collecting, this session is a great place to start.

In a 2013 survey by Bersin by Deloitte, 57% of HR professionals said they plan to purchase new software within the next 18 months. Some of these buyers are bound to face a few challenges during the implementation phase. For many more, the real challenge will begin after the software goes live: getting teammates — and, in many cases, the employee population at large — to actually use the software.

Whether you’re purchasing new HR software or seeking to enhance utilization of your current solutions, we’ll address seven of the most important factors that increase user adoption. During this webinar you’ll learn the following three things and more:

  • How high adoption ensures a positive ROI and enhances HR’s credibility as an information hub
  • How involving employees in compensation, career development and learning initiatives help increase adoption
  • Why the whole point of HR software is to help you improve the ways you serve your organizations
