How does one measure and determine which best practices should be applied to your organization?

To do this, Vienna HCA has developed a series of metrics, both strategic and operational in nature, to get at the core human capital strategies that will drive organization performance. The Human Capital Performance Index works like any other index that you may be familiar with. This one measures your human capital performance relative to others in your peer group, as well as compared with yourself over time.

We developed it in conjunction with CFOs and CEOs in middle market companies that had no way of measuring their return on human capital investment, even though it is the first or second largest cost of an organization.

The Index is comprised of three Key Performance Indicators: Human Capital Productivity, Return on Human Capital and Profit Sensitivity (the effect that variable compensation costs have on profit).
