Employee Wellness: Small Budget, Big Solutions
During this presentation you will learn solutions for employers with a small budget just beginning the endeavor to better employee health and engagement from an expert who has been in corporate wellness since 2004. The small employer rarely gets the tools and resources it needs to supply employees with the resources to become happier and healthier. This is not for companies with robust wellness programming currently in place.
Today in employee wellness there is a shift going from the focus on an employee’s chronic condition to building a culture of wellness across the worksite. This culture of wellness focuses on an overall healthy lifestyle with a supportive work environment. Creating an all-around culture of wellness within the work environment is the first step in having an impact on both your employee wellness and increasing employee engagement.
Studies have proven that healthy employees are less expensive for the employee as well as the employer. Engaged employees are less likely to leave the company, which is beneficial to avoid time, money and energy in hiring and training of new employees. Whether the goal is better health or increased engagement, it all starts with culture and program design.
