Wellness portals and interactive challenges – the next evolution of corporate wellness strategies:

How to Choose an On-Line Wellness Portal

The future of corporate wellness is now! 5 years ago live wellness events came into vogue with corporations jumping on board to offer their employees live wellness events such as health fairs, screenings, flu shots and lectures. 10 years ago most HR people did not know what a health fair was!

The same theory applies today in predicting where wellness is going – will your company be at the forefront of the industry, leading the way as a pro-active leader or will it tag along following the trend 5 years down the line?

On-line wellness portals offer a wellness program option that can reach all corporate employees, regardless of location. This is a game changer for many companies that until now have been limited in offering their employees “live” wellness events. While there is no doubt live events are a key component to bringing wellness to a corporate population, this is not a viable option, nor is it a complete option, for many corporations today due to population locations.

The on-line wellness portal fill in the gap that has existed, expanding what companies can offer their employees in the wellness arena. These portals are interactive websites where participants engage in wellness challenges, education, reporting/HRAs, personalized individual goal setting programs, coaching, and much more. They can be the social media bridge between wellness and the individual and can be the foundation upon which any wellness program can be built or it can be a stand-alone wellness program.

Since the goal of wellness is to engage those hard to reach employees, as well as to sustain those already embracing wellness, the portals achieve this goal in a variety of ways.

This webinar will discuss what a well-rounded portal should include. Some of the highlights to be covered are:
       The concept of wellness portals as turn-key comprehensive wellness initiatives
       Challenges - the front line to creating a fun, interactive wellness program (and creating great ROI)
       Engaging your target demographic – how to inspire those hard to reach employees
       Communication and social networking - how to get real teambuilding results
       Keeping your program HIPPA compliant - portal options to handle this issue
       Built in recognition and incentives to motivate and retain participants
       HRA’s/Reporting - make your data work for you to help reduce your wellness costs
       The data “ownership” debate – who should hold your data, you or your carrier?
       How to use portals to make the most of your existing wellness programs (get better value and return where you are already spending your wellness dollars!)
       Total integration – find out how portals become a one-stop-shop for everything wellness
       Language expands wellness accessibility – bring wellness to your population in their language of choice!
       Portals, the value of customization and branding
