Is the HR Blacklist legal?
04/25/2012 / 12:27 pm    #1

I received an email about my CV being listed on www.hrblacklist.com. I am an engineer, but I can’t find a job since 2009. Is this legal? Can anyone help me with an advice, please? I’m desperate.

Hello John:

I did a search for your name on the site hwww.rblacklist.com and nothing came up. I've been in HR for 10 years and have never heard of that site, so as far as other HR professionals using it, I don't think you have much to worry about.

As for it's "legality," my advice would be to contact an attorney if you have any questions about other's slandering your name or reputation on the internet. Being able to prove who posted what information is going to probably be the difficult part. Have you heard of LegalShield? We provide affordable access to the legal system for a low monthly rate. Feel free to email me if you are interested in learning more about what we do and how we can help you.

Regards,
Paula J. Randolph
