Unemployment

Does anyone know if there is training out there for understanding unemployment forms? Translating the meaning? How to match a determination with a request for information? How unemployment determines the amount the employee gets? I have tried to call unemployment numerous times and no one can give me a straight answer to these questions. |

I would suggest you contact EDD and request their booklet "A Guide to Benefits and Employment Services" . This booklet is issued by the California EDD and contains general information that will answer your questions. This tool is also sent to an exemployee once he/she has been terminated. Denise |

What kind of general information does it contain? I am in Ohio, and I am sure the laws are different here than in California. |

Sorry to just now get back with you. Nonetheless, I stand by my suggestion ...which is to contact your local unemployment department in your particular state. They should be able to answer such questions, as eligibility, length of collection, terms and conditions of receipt of supplement income, etc. |
