Description
Organizations of all sizes and in all industries are facing one overwhelming challenge that may inhibit their ability to grow – the shortage in the marketplace of key skills and qualified talent. To combat this challenge, organizations need to develop a comprehensive workforce plan that informs their hiring, development and succession planning. These plans must not only take data about the existing internal workforce into account, but the workforce as a whole, including, the various industries and geographies where organizations operate.

Workforce planning is not a new idea, but many organizations struggle to understand what it really means and how to build an effective workforce plan that will help them achieve their business goals. As new analytics tools pop up, some organizations become overwhelmed with the flood of data that is designed to help them create better workforce plans, but may simply cloud the water. Organizations have more data at their fingertips than ever, but many feel less prepared and lack a clear vision of where their future workforce will come from.

Based on newly gathered research, Mollie Lombardi, Vice President and principal analyst of Aberdeen Group's human capital management practice, and Dave Weisbeck, Chief Strategy Officer for Visier will discuss what workforce planning really is and how organizations at all levels of workforce planning maturity can take the next step to get the greatest benefit from their workforce planning activities. The power of workforce analytics to drive data-driven decision-making and provide the context for effective workforce planning, will also be explored.

Who Should Participate
  • CHRO, VP of HR, VP of HRIS, VP Workforce Planning or Analytics, or responsible for ensuring your organization is getting the most from its workforce strategy investment
  • HR Analysts and HR Business Partners looking to understand or enhance their Workforce Analytics practices
  • HR Executives who are sponsoring Workforce Analytics projects
  • Consultants who are advising clients on Workforce Analytics projects
  • IT specialists tasked with supporting HR’s Workforce Analytics needs
