Description
Not Your Parents' L&D – Are You Ready for Transformational Change?

The Millennial generation learners are rapidly growing in numbers and forcing significant organizational change. They are impatient, unimpressed with hierarchy, and want to be heard. They have grown up with Google, and are accustomed to “instant gratification.” Consequently, it is critical to evolve our learning platforms to meet their learning needs as they become an increasingly important part of our workforce. Are you really ready for them? Are your learning platforms designed to serve them?

This session will outline:
1. The essential expectations of this new generation of learners
2. How we must evolve our training approach to address this change
3. What learning functionality addresses their needs and expectation
4. How phrases like data analytics, contextual information, and adaptive outreach become just as important to the learning community as they've become to marketing and sales
5. How business performance is redefined and learning's role is re-evaluated

Presenter Ara Ohanian has been responsible for cutting-edge elearning programs since the late 1990s and in this presentation draws on his experience and on real-world examples to demonstrate how the new generation joining the workforce is profoundly different.

By joining this session you’ll equip yourself – and your organization – to better understand how Millennials learn. Collaboration, mobility and speed are their buzzwords – harnessed correctly this approach can accelerate both learning and its impact.
They’re the coming generation and will soon be the majority in the workforce. Creating the right environment for Millennials to learn in will be crucial for the future success of your organization.

Who Should Participate
L&D professionals, Training & HR directors and executives, Channel readiness managers, Sales and Marketing leaders
