Description
Many HR professionals are facing the same challenges:
• Attracting the best talent • Effective recruitment and orientation of new hires • Optimizing employee engagement • Reducing unwanted turnover It may still be an ‘employers market’ with a large pool of candidates looking for work, but it can still be difficult to attract the right talent and engage them at the early stages. And if you make false promises at recruitment or fail to orientate them effectively, you can lose them. Did you know that 29% of new hires want to leave their organization within the next 12 months? And many organizations are struggling to keep hold of their best talent; for these employees, there are always other opportunities out there. While exit interviews can be useful, they seldom uncover the real reasons why employees leave or help you identify ways to reduce unwanted turnover and retain your best talent. Most organizations conduct a regular employee survey to measure engagement levels of their current workforce. But many are now looking at the full employee lifecycle to gain a broader understanding of how to engage their employees effectively. In this session join Matt Roddan, Head of US Employee Research at ORC International. Matt will share best practice techniques on how to effectively measure the opinions of new hires and exiting employees in order to optimize engagement and organizational performance. We are excited to be joined by Chris Barksdale from Scripps Networks, the leading media company whose brands include HGTV, Food Network, DIY Network and the Travel Channel. Scripps Networks is embarking on an innovative program of surveys intended to gather opinion at strategic points during the employee lifecycle. Chris will talk about how this survey data is helping them gain a fuller picture of employee engagement and predict employee movement. Who Should Participate
