Description
All who seek the best possible productivity form people are steeped in the importance of employee engagement – and nowadays it is extremely unusual to find any organization that has not at least flirted with a program to drive the engagement of their people higher to achieve the extraordinary results that many years of research shows us are unique to engaged workforces.

But all too often the focus of such programs is upon the linkage between employees and the fellow employees, the work environment, the ‘deal’ and so on. What is all too often forgotten is the pivotal role of the leader-manager in driving engagement. As it is in the sports world, where a mediocre coach can take an A-team and produce appalling results and an inspiring coach take a mediocre team and produce extraordinary results, so it is in our world of business.

But what is it that makes one leader engaging and another utterly un-engaging? Our research shows that it all comes down to the day-to-day behaviors they display in their dealings with their people. We identified a specific set of behaviors that are common to those leader-managers who get great results – and notably missing in those who do not. Collectively we characterize those behaviors as ‘Leadership Charisma’ – and
Leadership Charisma shares a lot in common with the charisma we attribute to those people in our lives who touch our hearts and inspire us to engage with their political or social causes – or who simply enthrall us.

Although it is widely believed that you are either born with charisma or not, our research defines a commercial charisma and proves that your leadership charisma can, in fact, be developed. It can be fostered to bring about amazing results in your business and personal life.

In this briefing you’ll learn how new research with more than 40,000 leaders and almost 400,000 of their direct reports worldwide shows precisely what successful charismatic leaders do to develop their personal and commercial charisma.

Charisma for its own sake is good for little more than your ego – but put it to work in service of your business and its impact can be enormous.
Focused properly, leadership charisma fosters an environment where every one of your people has a positive and energetic attitude, is emotionally and intellectually committed to your vision, and is inspired to contribute his or her very best.

This briefing shows how any leader can become more personally charismatic - and how any leader can harness that charisma to achieve superior bottom-line results for their businesses.
Who Should Participate
This briefing is targeted at managers and leaders in the HR function and any other discipline where success is measured by the results achieved through people – through productivity in production, sales, service levels etc
