The shift of talent acquisition from reactive to proactive has been supported by several technology tools to drive both efficiency and effectiveness throughout the talent acquisition process. While these technologies hold the promise of positively impacting your talent acquisition processes, organizations must prepare for new processes, assure adoption by key stakeholders, and continue to drive utilization of the technology. During this webinar, we will discuss the sourcing and candidate relationship management processes, the technology which supports these processes, and those aspects of internal readiness that are required to assure a more effective and impactful approach for building top-of-funnel candidate quality, and ultimately improving your quality of hire.

Young Touchstone, a Wabtec Company, is a leading manufacturer in the freight and passenger rail, transit, power generation, off-highway equipment and industrial markets, was undergoing a significant workforce expansion in both of their industrial/locomotive heat transfer equipment divisions. With nearly 100 open requisitions and a three person Human Resources team that was spread across two facilities that were forty minutes apart, they were slightly overwhelmed. The team was finding themselves buried in paper applications, resumes and interview tracking sheets. They needed to implement a hiring solution that could help them automate this process to reduce administrative time, while also identifying candidates that were less likely to turnover. This webcast will discuss the process that Wabtec implemented to meet their needs.

Historically, the major reasons for insourcing benefits administration have revolved around an employer’s desire to maintain control of the administrative process, an employer’s need to provide a custom experience to its employees, and the fact that many employers had invested in technology that also supports benefits administration. Alternatively, outsourcing benefits administration is believed to improve service at a lower cost, help with tracking important compliance information, allows the employer to gain access to knowledge and expertise, and bring advanced technology to both employees and managers. Moreover, employers can free up resources to focus on higher value strategic or core business issues and opportunities. As a result, the pros and cons of insourcing vs. outsourcing are complex. Please join us for an interactive discussion of these survey findings where we’ll encourage you to benchmark your organization against others of like size (number of employees).

*Please note that this webcast doesn't qualify for HRCI or IHR credits. Look at the statistics and you realize your workforce is unhealthy: 62% of employees are overweight, among those, 26% are obese. Additionally, 33% of employees show signs of clinical depression. This workshop will introduce human resources staff and managers to the benefits of worksite wellness programming and simple ways to engage employees in programs and initiatives. Worksites have much to gain by offering wellness programming as these programs impact both the top line and bottom line of organizations; top line revenue increases via reduced absenteeism and presenteeism, and bottom line costs are reduced through the containment of healthcare costs. The key to impacting the health of an entire workforce is to implement comprehensive, results-oriented programs and policies. Results-oriented programs include multiple components, including policies, benefits, on-site programming and high-touch lifestyle change programs. Further, Return-on-Investment (ROI) can be enhanced by including dependents in the programming as they account for 60% of healthcare costs. Webinar participants will be able to analyze their own wellness programming, identify gaps and solutions, and develop comprehensive models for an effective wellness program. We will also discuss ways to reach and engage more employees and their families in wellness programming.

Welcome to this presentation on The Diagnosis and Treatment of Peripheral Arterial Disease. This educational activity is designed to help communicate an important message. That message is: the importance of timely detection of peripheral arterial disease (PAD) and appropriate treatment strategies that can help reduce PAD related morbidity and mortality. Atherosclerosis is the most common form of vascular disease seen by doctors. This is a systemic disorder effecting blood vessels in the cerebral vascular circulation, coronary circulation, and lower extremity arterial circulation. These manifestations may result in stroke or TIA (transient ischemic attack), acute coronary syndromes, leg pain during exercise, or critical limb ischemia (lack of blood flow to limb). Atherosclerosis often occurs in several vascular beds, including the coronary, cerebral, and peripheral arteries, and is the underlying condition that can lead to heart attack (MI), stroke, or peripheral arterial disease (PAD). These atherosclerotic conditions often coexist in patients, increasing the risk for developing ischemic events such as MI and stroke. It is imperative that people recognize the importance of timely detection of peripheral arterial disease (PAD) in primary care and appropriate treatment strategies that can help reduce PAD related morbidity and mortality.

Staffing Industry Analysts claim that utilizing contingent labor is 8% cheaper than hiring internal, direct hire employees. However, a recent survey found that 21% of Fortune 500 companies could not estimate their company's annual U.S. contingent labor spend which indicates that in many cases, companies are missing out on the potentially vast cost savings that engaging contingent workers can offer. Our virtual conference - led by Emergent President, Bill Inman - will show you how to cut the cost of your contingent workforce, without cutting corners on quality and compliance. As the use of contingent labor continues to grow, understanding how to maximize your company’s Contingent Workforce Strategy will be essential for the modern HR professional.
