Mentor, Network, Move – Timeless Business Tips

By:
Date: February 8 2011

Ann Arbor, MI February 8, 2011 – “Resilience in the face of adversity seems to be the common theme as we launch into 2011,” says Audrey Wong Chung, Owner and Founder of Beliza Design<http://www.belizadesign.com/>, an international design and fashion company, based in Ann Arbor, MI. “Exemplifying this resilience by doing business with love can make or break your company in 2011.  There are three ways the Business of Love can contribute to an over-arching success for you this year.”

Mentor Others

“According to surveys, work productivity spikes up when employees mentor others,” says Audrey. “The more heart-centered activities an individual does, the more satisfied they are. Once you tap into this part of yourself, you will see every area of your life, including professionally, grow in ways you’ve never imagined.”

Network for them – not you

“If we’ve heard it once, we’ve heard it a hundred times – you have to network. What does that really mean in our 2011 business world? Getting back to the basics of networking for the benefit of others, not yourself, achieves the ultimate overall success business professionals are looking to get through the networking events they attend,” says Audrey. “When you walk into a networking event and are genuinely interested in others and hearing their stories, focusing on a relationship with them, more than closing a deal, you will end up getting both, and more.”

“Additionally, surveys show that consumers are 50% more likely to be influenced by blogs and e-mails – in other words, the personal touch – than advertising. We’ve all been faced with the social media wave, which is essentially another networking venue,” says Audrey. “When we see the tools at our fingertips as ways to help others, they become the sales tools we want them to be in a much more synergistic way. Additionally, by being present at an event, you become your own personal walking blog. When you embrace the fact that everywhere you go, you are representing your company and team, you will net positive results.”

Move boldly and wisely

“Companies that move with surety and firm resolve achieve success in a large and complete way,” says Audrey.  “My latest design line, ‘Vasati<http://www.belizadesign.com/brands/vasati/>’, integrates spirituality and architecture’. It is an expression of freedom, abundance, and love – and, it’s the story of ‘you’, inspired by sacred geometry. You see the theme here, right? This deep meaning allows me to have a bold approach, integrated with care; through this, the brand is growing organically at an exponential rate.”
