InComm Partners with Galaxia Communications to Distribute Gift Cards to Korean Retailers

By:
Date: August 8 2012

ATLANTA – Aug. 8, 2012 – InComm, a leading prepaid product and transaction services company, announced today that it has entered into a partnership with Korean gift card provider, Galaxia Communications, to distribute the company’s proprietary gift card products in convenience and discount stores across the country.

This partnership will allow Galaxia gift cards to be supplied to retailers and sold via InComm’s point-of-sale activation (POSA) system, enabling customers to more easily buy and activate the cards, which can then be used to make a variety of both online and offline purchases. The added convenience is expected to drive increased demand and sales of gift cards in the nascent Korean market.

“As the need for convenient prepaid options grows due to the increasing use of smartphones and SNS, this partnership with InComm will enable us to meet market demand and advance the growth of prepaid gift cards in Korea,” said Il Yong Shin, CEO of Galaxia Communications. “Further, improved features of the card such as gifting functions make it an even more flexible and convenient payment option for consumers.”

“Our partnership with Galaxia Communications presents an exciting opportunity for InComm to expand our offerings to meet the unique demand of the Korean market,” said Frank Monaco, vice president, International, InComm. “The integration of offline and online commerce has created a need for a versatile prepaid card with broad distribution capabilities. Our POSA system provides the reach into retail outlets worldwide and makes the process seamless for consumers. We’re excited to see the continued growth of InComm and the prepaid industry in Korea.”
