IIL and Project Management Resource Group To Host 8-City Nationwide Tour

Date: December 13 2010

New York, NY (PRWEB) December 13, 2010
International Institute for Learning, Inc. (IIL) and the Project Management Resource Group have just announced dates for the exciting, upcoming 8-city nationwide tour for Leadership and the Power of Acknowledgment: How to Engage, Motivate and Inspire, taught by IIL’s globally acclaimed trainer, author, and motivational/transformational speaker, Judith W. Umlas. The highly engaging and motivating full day IIL course will launch on February 9, 2011 in New York City.

Leadership and the Power of Acknowledgment has been called a “must-learn topic” – especially in this day and age. Effective leaders must find ways to enhance people’s level of engagement, commitment and support, especially in the difficult periods all organizations experience at one time or another, and especially right now. Engaged employees work with passion and feel connected and loyal to their organization. This engagement yields higher productivity, sales, and results. Non-engagement in the workplace results in poor performance, limited productivity, and an erosion of the bottom line. People need consistent affirmation of their value and contribution to the organization in order to know that their efforts are appreciated. This can be accomplished by developing effective leadership capabilities by using acknowledgment as a critical communications and motivational tool.

The program is highly engaging and interactive, and includes a Leadership Acknowledgment Self-Assessment Survey™, case studies, role playing, action take-aways, the Knock Your Socks Off Power of Acknowledgment Exercise for Leaders™; the course has each attendee build and come away with a vision statement for their organization that will help them make theirs a culture of appreciation; it also has participants create a Personal Leadership Action Plan. Workshop participants will receive both the book, The Power of Acknowledgment by Judith W. Umlas, and a workbook. The course will earn eligible participants 7.5 Professional Development Units (PDUs).

The presentation will be offered throughout 2011 in the following cities: New York City, New York, San Francisco, California, Denver, Colorado, Chicago, Illinois, Atlanta, Georgia, Washington, DC, Houston, Texas, and Phoenix, Arizona. Eric Sokol, President of the Project Management Resource Group said that his organization strives for “high-value educational programs for project managers by focusing on must-learn topics in the forefront of project management techniques and methodologies, while enhancing personal—as well as professional—growth and development. Leadership and The Power of Acknowledgment helps fulfill our company’s mission,” he concluded. IIL’s President, Founder and CEO E. LaVerne Johnson stated, “We believe heartily in the message of the Power of Acknowledgment. It is a powerful and uplifting one which serves as a catalyst for immediate, positive change in people’s work environment and makes a real difference in employee productivity, engagement, retention and company loyalty.”
