HRAnswerLink Offers Employers Customized Help with Handbook Center

By:
Date: September 28 2011

PLEASANTON, Calif./September 28, 2011 – HRAnswerLink, the premier provider of on-demand human resource compliance to over 44,000 small and mid-sized businesses, has announced the launch of its Handbook Center.

In 2010, there were 99,922 Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) charges filed, an increase of more than 7 percent over 2009.  Having an employee handbook helps to protect companies from legal liability, while effectively communicating expectations and rules to employees.  The Handbook Center provides up-to-date, state- and federal-compliant employee handbooks that have been customized to each organization's exact business needs.

Having an employee handbook increases the chances of an organization prevailing against potential litigation, as company policies and guidelines have been clearly laid out in writing.  A handbook defines acceptable standards of workplace behavior by identifying and prohibiting specific unlawful employee acts and activities.

An employee handbook also saves management time and effort by providing employees a direct single-source reference that addresses common workplace matters.  Having these established guidelines in place enables management to make quicker and more consistent decisions while reducing the risks of unfair employee treatment complaints or lawsuits. Material in the handbook reflects the company's vision, mission, and values in line with the company's strategic business direction.

"Small and mid-sized businesses share the same legal and compliance concerns as large enterprises—only with much smaller budgets and few to no HR experts," said Dennis Abraham, president and chief executive officer of HRAnswerLink.  "We created the Handbook Center as a valuable resource that gives these companies the handbooks they need with no hassle and at an affordable price."

HRAnswerLink offers two levels of services to meet the budget of any business.  The Online Builder customizes the Handbook Center's employee handbook template based on answers provided by the customer.  The Professional Package adds a personal consultation with an HR Pro to discuss questions and policies to tailor the handbook to an organization's specific culture.  Each employee handbook is delivered via email in MS Word format so that it can be easily updated as needed.

The Handbook Center is available in a co-branded format for franchise, associations, chambers and other business groups.  More information on the Handbook Center is available at www.handbookcenter.com.
