Evaluation of HRO Vendors
When evaluating technology, all companies have a process that they expect vendors to go through.
This process can either be time consuming or quick. The vendor selection process usually requires
multiple vendors be compared against each other and company expectations to determine the
best fit for the set of requirements the group has determined need to be met. When beginning
the process of selecting a vendor, several considerations need to be met, such as what does your
current system do, what does the next system need to do, who should be part of the process
both internal and external to the company and what is the process by which to do the selection
(such as score carding, timelines, scripted demos, proof of concept). Companies should strongly
consider vendor selections to ensure that the company is prepared for an implementation and they
understand the limitations and capabilities of the systems they are going to be acquiring.
