Fifth Edition of The Complete HSA Guidebook Released

By:
Date: August 9 2011

SALT LAKE CITY, August 9, 2011 – HealthEquity, Inc. announced today that the fifth edition of The Complete HSA Guidebook: How to Make Health Savings Accounts Work for You is now available. The guide, authored by HealthEquity CEO Stephen D. Neeleman, MD, offers a comprehensive overview of health savings accounts (HSAs) for both individual account holders as well as employers offering these accounts along with their health insurance offerings.
The fifth edition includes comprehensive information on health care reform legislation and its impact on HSAs as well as more recent tax changes that affect HSAs. It is reformatted for easier readability and includes a new cover design.

The first edition of The Complete HSA Guidebook was released shortly after the original law that allows for HSAs was enacted in January 2004.  Now in its fifth release, the guide continues to be a complete resource on the advantages of HSAs, how HSAs differ from other account‐based health account options, how to use an HSA, how account holders can ensure they maintain proper documentation for the IRS, and more.

“HSAs are so different than other health care offerings; they can be confusing and are fraught with misconceptions. However, millions of Americans are using HSAs to pay for their health costs with tax-free dollars and to efficiently save much money for the future.  The goal of the original book and ongoing editions is to offer an education and reference tool for everyone who uses health care and to empower everyone to become better, more-informed, and more-engaged health care consumers,” notes Dr. Neeleman.

The Complete HSA Guidebook is available for $19.95 for a paperback copy or $3.95 for a downloadable PDF version at www.hsaguidebook.com.
