Ann Arbor, MI September 9, 2011 – "Have you tired of the chaos, the unsure steps of so many around you? There is a way to survive all – to create your own reality in the midst of chaos, and I am not talking about ‘checking out’,” says Audrey Wong Chung, founder and owner of
Beliza Design, an international design and fashion company, based in Ann Arbor, MI.
“A lot of people are asking me, ‘how is your business?’ Truth be told, my business is flourishing. Why? I have always been able to maintain calm in the midst of chaos and navigate the chaos to create my own reality,” says Audrey. “Paying attention to history assists you in determining patterns; therefore, what is going on in the world economically is not surprising to me. Economics like life is cyclical; and, one rule stays constant through all cycles – there are always opportunities to generate business.”
“Take fashion, for example – even it repeats itself; however, there are certain classic styles that remain constant and true. It is the same with trusting your inner guidance system as to what is true and valid; in this way, you can navigate the times of uncertainty using that inner compass,” says
Audrey. “Don’t follow trends; you can actually set them by sticking to what you personally like. For me, I like classic styles that are timeless; that, in turn, has helped me create fashion that transcends time and trends. I also was able to predict new market opportunities with my existing resources and infrastructures.”
“Indeed, Warren Buffet did this in the 90's during the internet boom. People who studied and adhered to Buffet's style of investing jumped ship and bought technology stocks; and, Buffet did not invest in these inflated technology stocks. He knew that they were being hyper-valued,” says Audrey. “Buffet refers to his ‘Inner Scorecard’ that kept him from investing in stocks that did not make sense to him. What does your Inner Scorecard tell you? When you follow that Inner Scorecard, you will be a force to be reckoned with.”
“Some of the greatest corporate dynasties were birthed during the Great Depression. After the internet bubble burst, investors were scared to invest in internet companies, but companies like Amazon have survived and flourished,” says Audrey. “I suggest you don't listen to the noise, because in doing so, you are only joining the chaos. A lot of the stock analysts that are giving us advice on the economy have never even stepped into a corporation or business to perform any real work. The business opportunity can be found by living life and by working in your fields of expertise. It is hard to predict innovation, but it is easy to innovate in your sphere of influence. This is the time to innovate. This is the time to create the future for the generations to come.”
