Cartus Celebrates Supplier Excellence at 11th Annual Global Network Conference

DANBURY, Conn., (October 14, 2011) — Cartus Corporation, the leading
provider of global relocation services, held its 11th annual Global Network
Conference, themed “Breakthrough Performance,” on October 10-12 in Denver,
Colo. A record-breaking 430 Cartus Network members, representing nearly 200
companies from 47 countries, attended the event, at which the extraordinary
achievements of network members serving Cartus’ clients and customers
worldwide were recognized.
“The annual Global Network Conference brings together the finest service
providers in the relocation world and offers a forum for them to learn from one
another,” said Traci Morris, Cartus executive vice president of global operations
and supply chain management. “This year, our theme ‘Breakthrough
Performance’ spotlights our shared efforts to continue to raise the bar on
performance levels and celebrates the power of our suppliers’ association with
Cartus.”
The 2011 awards recognized those suppliers who have consistently delivered
exceptional service to Cartus’ customers, as well as those who invested in
innovations that improved service. Two Masters Cup winners were named for
overall excellence: DMS Moving Systems of Canton, Mich., USA (move-related),
and The County Homesearch Company of Truro, Cornwall, United Kingdom
(home-related). A record number of “Voice of Customer” winners were also
named; these included platinum-, gold-, and silver-level winners in the
categories of Commitment to Excellence and Innovation awards.
In addition to attending the formal awards dinner, participants in the two-day
educational seminar heard keynote addresses from both Kevin J. Kelleher,
president and CEO of Cartus, and Morris. Both executives welcomed the Cartus
Network’s highest achieving relocation service providers and praised them for
their efforts to attain “Breakthrough Performance” levels in 2011.
At the General Session, Kelleher provided a company update and highlights of
recent achievements, as well as discussing the many opportunities that lie ahead
for Cartus. Morris presented on the latest Supply Chain accomplishments and
the company’s plan of action for achieving its goals in the coming year.
The General Session also featured “The Guru of Thank You,” Dr. Bob Nelson,
who specializes in helping organizations improve their management practices
and programs to achieve exceptional performance.
Attendees were invited to participate in workshops presented by Cartus
leadership, including Michael Brannan, senior vice president and general
manager, Intercultural Services, International Compensation Services; Ian
Payne, senior vice president and managing director, EMEA and Asia Pacific; and
Matt Spinolo, executive vice president, Global Client Services. Topics included a
question-and-answer session with Cartus executives; a discussion of the latest
news and views on international household goods, destination service providers,
temporary housing, and domestic household goods; and views about “What’s
Hot and What’s Not” in the ever-changing global business climate.
