Adjudica President to Speak at Northeast Business Group On Health Consumer Directed Health Plan

Date: March 6 2012

March 6, 2012 (St. Louis MO) Adjudica, LLC announced that its president, Blake Ashby, has been invited to speak at the March 15 Northeast Business Group on Health (NEBGH) conference on Consumer Directed Health plans.
In 2010 54% of the companies with more than 1,000 employees were offering a consumer driven choice. “Adjudica’s financial transparency and engagement offers a provocative approach to moving employees to consumer driven plans” noted NEBGH’s Nora Tsivgas.
“Consumer directed plans require an informed, engaged consumer – people won’t move to the plans unless they feel confident they can manage their healthcare, and they won’t save money in a consumer directed plan unless they take advantage of the tools and support offered by their employer” noted Blake Ashby, president of Adjudica. “By providing financial transparency and building a sense of social responsibility around living healthier lives and getting better value out of healthcare we help remove some of the uncertainty that keeps people from selecting a consumer directed option. The net result is a savings for both the employee and the employer”.
The patent-pending HealthSight is a financial transparency and engagement platform for employer-funded group health plans. A cross between Facebook and Quicken, the HealthSight platform provides monthly updates on the group spending in comparison to the budget and projects impact on premiums next year if cost overruns continue. By providing critical healthcare spending and utilization information at the individual and group level and connecting this information through social engagement tools to established group utilization and spending goals, group members begin to understand how their actions can impact not only their health, but their personal costs and the costs for the group. Instilling a sense of group responsibility changes how employees think about their healthcare, promoting greater accountability for healthcare spending decisions and lifestyle choices that leads to better health and greater control of healthcare utilization and spending.
About Adjudica: Based in St. Louis MO, Adjudica was founded by a team of experienced technology entrepreneurs to develop an innovative new approach to healthcare cost containment, applying the principals of transparency and engagement to the management of group health plans.
