Recognition programs are used to engage employees, encourage repeat positive behavior, and execute on the organization’s goals and objectives. But despite the strategic importance executives place on employee recognition, a Sodexo study confirms there are still many opportunities in the workplace for systematic and efficient implementation and monitoring of recognition programs.

“There was an apparent need for cohesive employee recognition program structure,” said Motivation Solutions Director of Marketing and Operations Heidi Hastings-Brien regarding the findings from the Sodexo study. “Streamlining programs into a unified program management platform for recognition and rewards eliminates program management complexity for HR Administrators and simultaneously unites global employees.”

Human resource professionals can benefit from the integrated recognition and reward platform by reducing program management time and complexity. A robust platform can provide features such as qualitative and quantitative data tracking; tiered user permission levels for budget authorizations and spend controls; and an array of merchandise, eCards, reward cards and more available to easily order and distribute. And while the attributes to HR is abundant, there are appealing elements to the workforce as well.

With a web-based platform employees are at liberty to participate in reward and recognition programs all across the globe. Online access offers 24/7 ability to see their individual recognitions, track their points and rewards, and provide recognition and rewards to others. This readily available system in turn acts as a reoccurring recognition method or individual motivator, simulating an employee to work towards a goal or redeeming a reward for their effort.

A Gallup study reports that companies with higher-than-average employee engagement enjoyed 27 percent higher profits and 50 percent higher sales. With a single platform, HR professionals can further engage employees through effective use of blog participation, surveys, nominations and polls.

Today, organizations are saying goodbye to difficult, disjointed recognition programs and saying hello an integrated incentive and recognition program platform that can truly unite the workforce and optimize motivation in the workplace.
