1.0 What is HCO?
Our Human Capital Optimization (HCO) service offering allows leaders to understand and solve their critical HR problems. We help companies effectively manage their human capital; strategically develop short- and long-term workforce solutions; and identify and leverage global talent. Using our consultative approach, comprehensive research techniques and analytical expertise in these areas, Zinnov enhances the decisive link between a company’s human capital and its financial success. 2.0 What are the various components of your HCO offer? Specifically, our HCO offering includes. 1.Global Talent Pool Analysis and Research 2.Emerging Countries Compensation Trends 3.Workforce Planning and Analytics 3.0 Can you provide some examples of the various service streams? The following case studies provide additional details with respect to each service stream: Can you provide some examples of the various service streams? Zinnov develops custom solutions based on each client’s specific needs and objectives. Below are various case studies targeting each of our components: Global Talent Pool Analysis and Research Case 1 Problem : World’s #1 computer hardware company wanted to develop a Global Talent Map for various domains. Solution : Zinnov utilized more than five years of research to build a Global Talent Pool model across various domains, including IT Services, BPO, Product Development Hardware, Product Development Software, Technical Support and Executive Leadership. In addition, to meet this client’s unique needs, Zinnov built a web-enabled database to store all pertinent information to run and analyze future location and talent scenarios. Key Results : ■Identified locations with untapped talent in multiple domains. ■Created an optimal location and talent road map for mid-term to long-term planning. ■By using war gaming scenarios the client was able to identify optimal locations for all talent domains. Emerging Countries Compensation Trends Case 1 Problem: A leading Fortune 500 technology company wanted to develop a global job table for various domains such as BPO, IT Services and Software Product Development Solution : Zinnov built complex compensation models that allowed the client to forecast compensation trends using the market’s compensation trends and talent supply/demand in specific countries. For each of the benchmarked position, Zinnov assessed the following: ■Compensation Summary Analysis. ■Compensation Structure Analysis. ■Compensation Range Analysis. ■Variable Pay Analysis . ■Detailed Component Wise Compensation Analysis. Key Results : Our research and analysis provided the client with the total pay components across multiple locations. With this information, the client was better positioned to pay the market rate and attract the right talent. Workforce Planning and Analytics Case 1 Problem: World's #1 communication holding company wanted to build a 3-year workforce strategy incorporating employee data, retirement trends, actuarial trends, workforce supply trends, demand trends, global location trends and other critical elements pertaining to the workforce. The client evaluated multiple solutions and selected Zinnov as we proposed the most comprehensive solution customized to their needs. Solution : Zinnov developed a comprehensive analytical solution integrating financial plans, HR plans, employee data that enabled the client to run multiple scenarios to assess a 3 to 5 year supply/demand gap. Zinnov also worked with the client to provide multiple gap optimization solutions. Key Results : Our solution resulted in identifying multi-million dollar savings opportunities through our gap optimization models. This helped our client assemble a structured process around strategic HR planning. In addition, the modeling framework we introduced helped our client run several scenarios for board room evaluation, creating a powerful connection between the company’s HR department and the company’s bottom line. Case 2 Problem: World's #1 PC supplier wanted to evaluate the impact of implementing Flexible Work Solutions in their environment. Solution : Zinnov approached this problem very differently compared to other consulting providers in this space. We first conducted a thorough research of various Flexible Work Solution components and the associated cost benefits as reported by various organizations. For example we studied the financial, environmental and social impact of flex time, part-time, remote work, and designed an analytical solution that enabled our client to assess the types of benefits – financial, environmental and societal – they would receive by deploying each of the Flexible Work Solutions. Key Results : ■$0.8 million savings for every 1000 employees in Flexible Work. ■$1.0 million savings due to reduced recruitment costs for every 1000 employees in flexible work. ■$0.6 million savings due to reduced sick leave per 1000 employees. ■Our war gaming evaluation scenarios enabled our client to understand the best and most financially sound way to deploy the right solutions for their environment. 4.0 What types of resources and tools do you use? Zinnov leverages staff experience; in-depth research capabilities such as strategic studies, cultural reviews, interviews with local experts; sophisticated spreadsheet models, analytical tools and web-based technological tools. While Zinnov has developed standard models to assist our clients in capitalizing on their human capital, we work with our clients on a one-to-one basis to understand their unique problems, concerns and situations before developing and recommending a solution. All of our recommended solutions carry with them a consultative component.
