Customized Skill Assessments: How Job-tailored Tests Make Hiring More Effective and Defensible
Date:
March 7, 2007 at 1:00 - 2:00 PM ET
Description
There is decades of evidence demonstrating the positive impact of different assessment tools on key organizational outcomes. Understanding which assessment tools to use and how to use them requires planning and adherence to a well-defined set of best practices. This Webcast introduces key concepts around the effective implementation of assessment tools.
However, the main focus of the Webcast will be on the value of skill-based assessments. We will discuss skill-based assessments’ proven effectiveness at systematically evaluating candidates’ ability to perform key job functions.
Furthermore, we will highlight the importance of creating customized assessments that are tailored for specific jobs, and some of the methods for easily doing so. The idea is that customization based on experts’ opinions ensures that only job-relevant factors are used to help make hiring decisions.
The Webcast will also provide information about how best to use test scores within the hiring process. The presenter will discuss the legal aspects of using these assessments, providing tips for ensuring that skill-based assessments are legally sound. Finally, the presenter will be available to answer questions related to the content of the presentation.
