| Description
Let’s face it, most managers, both new and experienced, aren't good coaches. Why? They don’t take the time and effort to have those important – positive and not so positive – performance conversations with their employees on an ongoing basis. Some by nature avoid confrontation; others get bogged down with their day to day workload and lose this focus.
But ask yourself - which employee is more engaged and strives to be your highest performer? The one whose manager only sits down to have an uncomfortable performance conversation during review season? Or the one whose manager gives them regular recognition, positive affirmation, and timely corrective feedback, and who’s focused on developing their team?
In this webinar, leadership expert Steve Roesler will explain the importance of coaching and its impact on engagement. Joining him, Melanie Rydalch, Regional Human Resources Manger from Basic American Foods, will share how an automated talent management system has helped their managers improve their coaching.
Talent management systems that incorporate tools to assist with performance, recognition, corrective action, and development can work wonders in transforming managers into strong coaches.
